Concrete tile roofing is the signature architectural style of Southwest Florida, offering unmatched curb appeal, superior energy efficiency, and decades of heavy weather defense. However, a tile roof is only as reliable as the craftsmen who engineer and install it.
At Kirkey Roofing, we combine over 75 years of local experience with modern engineering standards. Whether you need a complete tile replacement, a new build installation, or a targeted repair, our 100% full-time master craftsmen handle every detail—with zero subcontractors.
We provide end-to-end tile solutions tailored to your home’s exact architecture, structural requirements, and budget.
Florida heat and intense UV exposure eventually break down the waterproofing underlayment beneath your tiles. We specialize in complete tile tear-offs and replacements, installing high-temperature, self-adhering membranes that deliver a reliable, long-lasting moisture barrier for your home.
Building or expanding? We partner directly with your architect and engineering firm to execute specified plans or recommend equivalent high-performance systems. Using industry-leading APOC Polyset® and DuPont TileBond™ adhesive foam systems—with 2-part Polyset® upgrades tested for wind uplift up to 190 mph—we deliver maximum storm defense for your home.
Dealing with a few cracked tiles or a localized leak? Driven by our Repair-First promise, we never push a full replacement when a targeted fix makes sense. Our dedicated repair crews carefully lift existing tiles, replace deteriorated underlayment, and source matching tile profiles to restore your roof seamlessly.
Building codes are just the legal minimum. We engineer tile roofs to Kirkey Roofing Code Plus Standards to ensure your installation outlasts Florida’s harsher seasons.

If we are replacing an existing tile roof with a new concrete tile roof, we can handle the replacement seamlessly without any issue. However, if you are converting to a tile roof from a lighter material (like shingles or metal), Florida building code requires the structure to be evaluated and signed off by a licensed structural engineer. Any necessary structural framing upgrades must be performed by a licensed General Contractor before tile installation.
A standard residential tile roof replacement takes between 5 to 10 business days, depending on roof size, pitch complexity, and weather. Your Dedicated Project Manager keeps you informed daily, and our rolling equipment is moved out of your way nightly. More complex roofs can take longer than the standard 5-10 business days. Your roof advisor will be able to give you a good idea when we meet with you.
Concrete tile is your roof’s primary shield against sun and impact, but the underlayment underneath the tile is the actual waterproof barrier. Over 15 to 20 years, heat breaks down underlayment even while exterior tiles look perfectly intact. Our advisors inspect the underlayment and recommend whether a repair or underlayment replacement is required.
