Craig Squier
Operations Manager/President
President and Operations Manager
In addition to planning and handling the direction of Kirkey Roofing, Craig spends a lot of his day meeting with clients, diagnosing and estimating roof issues, and general problem-solving.
Describing what Craig does is difficult, what doesn’t Craig do? He thrives on being on the move, gets his hands on everything, and loves spending time with clients.
As Kirkey Roofing has grown, Craig was personally involved in training new employees, making sure that they knew that Kirkey Roofing stands behind our work and will always be fair and honest with clients. Craig’s values are an important reason that Kirkey Roofing has been so successful for over 73 years in business
In Craig’s Own Words:
Q: What do you like about working at Kirkey Roofing?
A: I like the friendly atmosphere. Everyone at Kirkey Roofing is really supportive and understanding and our homeowners come from all over the country, as well as Florida. I really enjoy meeting our customers and hearing their stories.
Q: What are your credentials and past experience?
A: I got my degree in Geology, expecting to enter the Oil and Gas industry. I ended up working in the wholesale food industry for many years. I really enjoyed the fast-paced environment and meeting face-to-face with my customers. I also purchased and arranged transportation. That was pretty much a 24/7 on-call job. I really enjoyed the challenge but wanted to use my energy to build a company that was my vision.
Q: What is your background and what values drive you?
A: I grew up in North East Maryland. Growing up in a small town really instilled a sense of community in me. My parents were great role models. Going to a Christian Day School really solidified my Christian values. I try to live up to the values of my teachers and pastors at my school.
Q: What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
A: I enjoy golfing, hiking, working out, biking, kayaking, and watching football. (The Bills) I would love to hike to the bottom of the Grand Canyon someday.
Q: Your favorite books?
A: Lost on the Appalachian Trial and Survivorman, and the Bible
Patty Squier
Director of Finance
Director of Finance
Patty manages the budget planning and oversees the general financial management of Kirkey Roofing. Most marketing decisions go through Patty.
Starting out in the manufacturing industry, graduating from an Engineering college, and now in the roofing industry, Patty is driven by precision and implementing proven, repeatable systems.
Keeping Kirkey Roofing on a controlled, sustainable growth track, while protecting our quality, financial stability and job stability for our team we call “family”, is a top priority for Patty.
In Patty’s Own Words:
Q: What is something in the roofing industry you have to deal with and want to fix?
A: I hope that I can help to raise the level of trust in the construction industry. Both by standing behind our work, making it an easy transaction, and also by being a good, tough competitor.
Q: What are your credentials / past experience, for working in your position?
A: I was blessed to grow up working with my Father, my Uncle and siblings in a manufacturing business, a tough industry. I come from a family of perfectionists with high values. My experience in manufacturing which is a highly skilled, productivity focused industry provided a lot of skills that are needed in the roofing industry. Manufacturing can be affected by economic conditions, watching how my Father navigated tough economic times really helped guide me through some of the turbulent economic events over the last 10-12 years. I learned that we can never stop improving. We always have to invest in doing a better job. It always pays off.
Q: What do you like about working at Kirkey Roofing?
A: I just love the people I work with every day. I love the homeowners. Over the last few years, we all really bonded as a team. Everyone has each other’s backs. We all chip in. Everyone is busy, but is always willing to lend a hand to a fellow employee. Watching how everyone comes together when facing a challenge, whether it’s a tough project, or someone has a physical surgery that limits their work for a long period, I’m immensely grateful to work with such a team.
Q: What are the values the drive you?
A: Our corporate values were developed many years ago by Craig and me. The Values for Excellence are Integrity, Trust, Dependability, Fairness, Teamwork, and Consistency. It’s so great to see so many of my fellow team mates express those same values in their interviews. It explains a lot about why we all get along so well.
Q: Favorite Quote?
A: “To add value to others, one must first value others.” – John Maxwell
Sean Squier
Vice President – Operations
Vice President – Operations
Sean manages a wide range of duties at Kirkey Roofing. Over the past few years, Sean has taken over many of the daily operations. A strategic thinker, Sean, has been instrumental in staff development and has cross trained much of our labor force to adapt and respond to ever changing work priorities. During the rainy season, our repair lead time have substantially lowered due to flex crews. Sean constantly does his best to keep quality and customer service at the highest levels.
Sean Squier enjoys meeting with customers. He loves a good challenge and loves to diagnose and estimate roof repairs.
Sean works hard and plays hard. When he’s not on a roof or in an attic, he enjoys working on new things and learning new skills. Fishing, boating, golfing, skiing, rock climbing in his Jeep, camping, and spending time with family and friends keeps Sean busy on the weekends.
In Sean’s Own Words:
Q: What is something in the roofing industry you have to deal with and want to fix?
A: In general, there is a lot of distrust in the construction industry. I like to do everything possible to show that Kirkey Roofing is a very up front and honest company.
Q: What are your credentials / past experience, for working in your position?
A: For many summers, I worked with the repair crews. Doing repairs, you see exactly what fails on roofs and how things need to be done to prevent issues from happening.
Q: What do you like about working at Kirkey Roofing?
A: Every day is different with new projects and challenges. It keeps everything interesting. We have a great group of people that we work with which makes working much more pleasurable. Excellent team.

A: Grew up outside Baltimore, MD and moved to Bradenton, FL in 2005. Graduated from BCS in 2010 and from the College of Business at FGCU in 2014. I have been fortunate to have many great friends and family around my life. My favorite foods are steak, pizza, and asparagus.
